This week our guest is Julie Forbes. She is the host of The Dog Show with Julie Forbes – a talk radio show all about dogs. The Dog Show airs live every Wednesday from 2-3pm on KKNW AM 1150 and is rebroadcast on Sundays at 1pm. The Dog Show is also available online at www.dogradioshow.com and also on iTunes as a free audio podcast.
Julie is also an expert in dog training, behavior and food and owns the company Sensitive Dog. She has been working with people and their dogs in the greater Seattle area for over ten years, doing in-home private lessons and consultations.
In addition, she has been the Adoption Coordinator for Heeling Allies, Psychiatric Service Dog/Mental Health Service Dog training company since it opened its doors in 2008. She works with local breeders and rescue groups to place qualified dogs who are in-need of a home, into one of our three support dog programs. She is also an expert in the pet food industry and her education in the science of nutrition and experience in the pet food industry for over ten years has equipped her to fulfill her passion of educating pet owners to make healthy, informed choices about what to feed their pets. It is her intention to cut through the deception and lies of the multinational companies that own the majority of the most recognized brands of food sold in grocery stores and pet super-stores as well as explain the lack of regulation in pet food labels that allows them to get away with this offensive deception.
