This week our guest is Tom Watson. Tom manages the EcoConsumer public outreach program for King County. He writes the EcoConsumer column in the Seattle Times, and is a regular on the KOMO4 TV 4 o’clock news. Tom provides public education on a variety of environmental issues, including toxics in everyday products, and alternatives.
Since so many of us these days are confused about all the “green” products and the best ways to reduce waste and toxics, Tom strives in his work to cut through all the hype and answer people’s real-world questions.
Tom has done considerable public education and research on toxics and pesticides issues. At the 3rd annual Seattle Green Festival he was a panelist in a session about hazardous chemicals, “Navigating a Toxic Environment,” and he also moderated and spoke in a session about “Green Jobs.”
