This week our guest is Rabbi Steven A. Fisdel. He has studied and lectured on the spiritual significance of the Kabbalah, Dead Sea Scrolls and early Jewish mysticism for more than 30 years. He holds a master’s degree in Judaica from Spertus College in Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in Jewish History and World History from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He received Rabbinic Ordination from the P’nai Or Fellowship in Philadelphia. Rabbi Fisdel is the founder of the Center for Jewish Mystical Studies in Albany, California where he maintains a Kabbalah based spiritual counseling practice. He has served on the core faculty of the Chochmat HaLev Institute for Jewish Learning in Berkeley, Calif. and was affiliated with the College of Early Christian Studies in San Jose, California. Rabbi Fisdel was a visiting scholar at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA while serving as a congregational rabbi for 12 years.
