This week’s guest is Eileen Dey, M.A., LMHC. She is a licensed mental health counselor and Reiki Master. She is also the author of the new book, Touching the World Through Reiki. Eileen is the founder/director of the only state-certified vocational school of Reiki in Washington – The Reiki Training Program. Over the last ten years, she has taught over a thousand students from 20 countries. Eileen is also a co-founder of The Reiki Fellowship. Through the fellowship and her own practice she has pioneered and led very innovative reiki programs including: Reiki for Veterans – established in 2006 by Eileen and Michael Emanuel, RMT, Reiki for Veterans is a branch of The Reiki Fellowship for interested individuals and institutions to participate in discussion and find support and resources for establishing Reiki classes, sessions & Reiki research for Veterans in their community. Duwamish River Blessings: Based on the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto with water, Eileen has been working with others to do a monthly blessing and healing for the Duwamish River. Integrating reiki into art forms like painting, drawing and acting, including through her troupe the Stone Cold Readers.
